All About Slackline

ALL ABOUT SLACKLINE

In Monkeybiz’s blog, All About Slackline, the mission is to create a space dedicated to everything that hangs around the sport, a community, a space for sharing.

Here you can find tips, interviews with some slackline icons, news and tutorials, in a space where you can create your profile, discover and talk to other slackliners, learn and teach.

We will also take advantage of this blog to promote and protect our slacklife, through awareness and education of those who are starting, addressing aspects such as safety rules, good practices, spots and equipment tips.

FIND OUT HOW SOME OF THE BEST SLACKLINERS

LIVE THEIR SLACKLIFE.

“I have been practicing slackline since the summer of 2013. At that time I went to a music festival to do a aerial show.

At the festival I ended up finding people who were doing slackline. The result was that I got the whole festival slacklining and ended up not doing my aerial demonstrations. ”

Abraham Hernandez, Gibbon Slacklines

“Slackline has changed my life a lot, positively, and I wish it to all.

So I have only one thing to say: go try it as soon as you can because you will rock it. ”

Rodeoline, a “world” without tension

Rodeoline is a branch of slackline or way of practicing it that corresponds to its almost literal meaning. In rodeo the slackline is has no tension at all. Between trickline, highline and longline, rodeoline is the only slackline branch where the line must be totally loose. However, as with trickline, rodeolining is possible on waterlines or highlines.

Longline slackline, a never ending challenge

Longline slackline is category or branch where the challenge is to walk longer and longer lines. More tensioned or saggy, with higher or lower anchors, the focus is always the same: sending the line". What determines if we are doing slackline or longline (as a distinct kind of slackline) is just line lenght. From 40 meters it can already be considered a longline.
